Every first Sunday of the month we have a food offering at Hope Chapel. Individuals bring non-perishable food items to our Sunday worship service. These items are donated to Amelia County Food Bank which is managed by Pastor Ed Well. The food is then given to families in need each and every week.
Hope Chapel receives many calls throughout the week for families in need of support. We are able to assist these families with monies from our benevolence fund. Prayer is offered up for the needs which go above and beyond our ability to help.
For years Hope Chapel has supported an orphanage project in Sandimas, Nicaragua through short-term mission trips and monthly financial support.
Operation Christmas Child
November is the season for Operation Christmas Child. Participants pack shoebox gifts for children around the world. Its a chance for people to pack a shoe box with love, sent it with prayer, and share the good news of Jesus Christ with a hurting child. Check out the Samaritan’s Purse Website for more info.
Every year we support the Christmas Mother in Amelia County. Hosted by the Amelia Bulletin Monitor, this event provides families in need with Christmas gifts for their children.
A faith-based group home for women and their children. Maggie Hill from Hope Chapel is the founder and leader of this incredible ministry. Construction on the group home is still in progress and much help and support is needed. The goal of this ministry is to establish healthy, productive individuals and families that effect our community and world, teaching and releasing them to extend a hand up as one was extended to them to make a difference for others. See Maggie Hill to get involved.
Run For Hope
This annual Missions Fundraiser is a 5K walk/run through the historic Amelia village. All proceeds go to benefit missions work around the corner, around the nation and around the world.
